I’m incredibly honored and deeply grateful to share that Global Icons Review has named me The Most Influential Woman Redefining Beauty, Wellness & Confidence for 2026.

To be recognized in this way, and to have the opportunity to share my story, is something I don’t take lightly.

When I look back on my journey—from working on Hollywood red carpets to founding Pretty Girl Makeup in 1999—one thing has always remained true: beauty has never really been about makeup.

Yes, makeup is what introduced me to this incredible career, but the lessons that shaped me the most came from life itself.

I lost my mom to brain cancer after watching her courageously fight for more than a decade. Years later, I lost my husband, Ken, to sepsis, and then my precious son, Beau. Those losses changed me forever. They changed how I define success, how I show up for people, and what confidence truly means.

I don’t share those parts of my story because I want sympathy. I share them because they’ve become the foundation of everything I do.

Over the years, I’ve realized confidence has very little to do with looking perfect.

Confidence comes from getting back up after life knocks you down. It comes from finding joy again, choosing hope, and continuing to move forward even when your heart has been broken.

That’s why I see makeup differently than I did when I first started.

To me, it’s never been about covering flaws. It’s about helping someone reconnect with the very best version of themselves. Whether it’s a bride moments before she walks down the aisle, a CEO preparing for a career-defining presentation, or someone who’s simply trying to recognize themselves again after a difficult season, those moments matter.

That’s what inspired me to build Pretty Girl Makeup, and it’s the same philosophy I bring to every client, every product, every interview, and every conversation I have—whether I’m on set, speaking at an event, or sitting down with a guest on I’m Too Busy!.

After more than two decades of working with Academy Award winners, athletes, executives, and thousands of incredible women and men, I’ve learned something that still surprises people:

Beauty doesn’t create confidence. Confidence creates beauty.

The greatest compliment I’ve ever received has never been about someone’s makeup.

It’s when someone looks in the mirror, smiles, stands a little taller, and feels like themselves again.

That’s why I do what I do.

Awards are wonderful, and I’m truly grateful for this incredible recognition, but if there’s one thing I hope people remember about me, it isn’t the celebrities I’ve worked with or the accolades I’ve received.

I hope they remember how I made them feel.

If I can help someone feel more confident, more hopeful, more beautiful from the inside out, or simply remind them of who they already are, then I’ve done my job.

Thank you to Global Icons Review for this incredible honor, and thank you to every client, friend, colleague, and supporter who has trusted me over the years.

None of this happens alone, and I’m grateful beyond words to be on this journey with all of you.

With gratitude,

Christina Flach 💙
