Some stories are almost too painful to tell. And yet telling them is exactly how they save lives.

Pretty Girl Makeup CEO, NBC California Live beauty expert, and I’m Too Busy Podcast host Christina Flach joined the Never Ever Give Up Hope Podcast for one of the most raw, honest, and deeply moving conversations she has ever shared publicly. The episode is titled “Have You Loved and Lost?” — and Christina’s answer to that question is one that will stay with you long after the 43 minutes are over.

Christina has faced losses that would devastate most people. On Christmas morning, without warning, her baby died in his crib. Years later, after finding love again with the love of her life — Ken Flach, Olympic Gold Medalist and world champion tennis player — she received the news that he was dying of sepsis. He passed in 2018. Two profound, unimaginable losses

in one lifetime.

After losing her son, her first husband was unable to cope with his grief, and they divorced. Christina found her way forward. She built a career. She fell in love again. And then she lost him too — in a way that could have been prevented.

Since Ken’s death, Christina has dedicated herself to raising awareness about sepsis — its symptoms, the critical importance of seeking immediate medical attention, and the urgent need for policy changes that give patients faster access to emergency care. She has partnered with Sepsis Alliance and shared Ken’s story on Fox News, NBC Bay Area, ABC Bay Area, CBS, KTVU, the Tennis Channel, and Sirius Radio.

Her tears in this episode are real. Her encouragement is unparalleled. And her  Her encouragement is unparalleled. And her message — that you can love deeply, lose profoundly, and still choose to keep going — is one the world needs to hear.
