Beauty, Business & Sepsis on Screw It Just Do It
Pretty Girl Makeup CEO Christina Flach joins host Alex Chisnall on Screw It Just Do It to talk building a beauty empire, entrepreneurship, and raising sepsis awareness in honor of Ken Flach.
Some interviews go deeper than others — and this was one of them. Pretty Girl Makeup CEO, NBC California Live beauty expert, and I’m Too Busy Podcast host Christina Flach joined Angela Doyon and Nat Caron on The Social Focus Podcast for one of her most personal and revealing conversations to date.
Christina’s journey in the makeup industry started with her mother. When she was diagnosed with cancer, she asked Christina to do her makeup one evening — she wanted to feel her best for a date with her father. That experience sparked Christina’s love for helping others feel like the best version of themselves, and it still drives everything she does today.
Over the years Christina has had the privilege of working with an incredible list of celebrities — Tyler Florence, Metallica, Journey, Rita Moreno, and many more. But she was quick to share that success didn’t come overnight. Just like so many entrepreneurs and small business owners, it takes time to see your hard work pay off.
Christina also shared the story of losing her husband Ken Flach to sepsis in 2018, and her ongoing mission as a passionate advocate for spreading awareness about this life-threatening response to infection.
Topics covered include knowing the problem in your industry and finding a solution, not being afraid to ask for help, filling yourself up first to create balance, and leading with passion in everything you do.
