Pride Month Beauty: Glowing Skin and Hydration
Celebrity makeup artist Christina Flach shares Pride Month skincare and hydration tips on NBC California Live.
Pride Month is the perfect time to celebrate confidence, self-expression, and taking a little extra care of yourself. When you feel healthy on the inside, it shows on the outside—and it all starts with healthy, glowing skin. Watch my Pride segment on California Live NBC
One of the biggest questions I get is, “How do I get my skin to look naturally radiant?” The answer is simpler than you might think: consistency.
Start with a solid skincare routine. Cleanse your skin morning and night, then follow with toner, eye cream, a Vitamin C serum, and a moisturizer that works for your skin type. And never skip sunscreen—it helps protect your skin and keeps it looking healthy year-round.
One of my favorite nighttime beauty secrets is applying a nourishing face oil before bed after exfoliating. Your skin does most of its repairing while you sleep, so waking up with soft, hydrated skin starts the night before.
My Secret to Flawless Makeup
People always ask how I get foundation to look so natural. My biggest tip is simple—don’t rush.
Apply your moisturizer and sunscreen, then let them absorb for about 10 minutes. While your skincare is soaking in, style your hair or do your eye makeup and brows. Once your skin is fully hydrated, apply your concealer and foundation. The difference is amazing—your makeup will blend beautifully and your skin will look fresh, smooth, and radiant.
Stay Hydrated from the Inside Out
Beautiful skin starts with hydration.
During the warmer months, I love making fruit-infused water with combinations like blueberries, mint, lemon, and orange. Coconut water is another favorite because it’s packed with natural electrolytes.
Here are a few easy hydration tips I use:
• Add a splash of coconut water to your water bottle.
• Freeze fresh lemon juice with a pinch of Himalayan salt into ice cubes for a refreshing electrolyte boost.
• Make a simple homemade energy gel using Medjool dates, fresh lemon juice, a little honey or maple syrup, and Himalayan sea salt for long days when you need sustained energy.
Healthy skin, great makeup, and feeling your best all start with taking care of yourself from the inside out.
Happy Pride Month! Wishing everyone a month filled with confidence, joy, kindness, and plenty of glowing skin.
